Just before the end of last year, Haven’s
(Haven Humane Society in Anderson, California) Jagger, a yellow Lab, showed signs that led him from ordinary mutt to become a valuable asset to mankind by assisting in search and rescue operations.

PET SQUAD ALERTS:
PAWS in Norwalk is seeking volunteers to help with
dog and cat care, fundraising and
office/administrative tasks. They also need some folks with
green thumbs to help with yard work and could really use some feline
foster parents! Can you lend a helping paw?
If so, contact Alexis
at alexis@pawsct.org or
203-750-9572, x135.
Friends of Feral Cheshire Cats
does not operate a shelter and is in search of feline foster
folks! Foster homes are few, so this limits the amount of
non-feral cats and kittens they can help. Please contact them if you
are interested in providing a foster home. 203-444-3960 or
info@friendsofferalcheshirecats.org
CGA (Connecticut Greyhound Adoption) is in desperate need of
foster homes. They have had several requests from kennels and other
greyhound rescue groups to help with taking dogs that have been
displaced by tracks closing. If you can find it in your heart to
provide a temporary home to these beautiful pups they'll be forever
greytful! This is an urgent request as the fate of the dogs
that are not taken is in jeopardy. Please help if you can by
contacting
foster@ctgreyhounds.org.
Report Illegal Animal Fighting: The Connecticut illegal
animal fighting hotline number is 860-808-5180, and callers
can remain anonymous. Add this number to your cell phone and
pass it along. Reporting this cruel practice will make a tremendous difference.

CT Pet Projects needs help from the Pet Squad! Can you
sniff out more helping paws? Volunteers are needed by
all our member organizations and we want to make sure the Pet Squad
extends far and wide to serve the needs of so many homeless animals.
If you'd like to help us find help, we need your help! Email
joelle@ctpetprojects.org with your thoughts and availability.
